( Well if my husband can get away with it, so can I!)

  • HOBBIES:
  • Genealogy.
Helping Dave with tracing his ancestry has started me trying to trace mine, and I have had some success. But if there is someone out there who can help, I should be delighted to hear from them. The names I am interested in are Mason, Sequeira, Knight and Boughey

  • Singing.
With Portishead Choral Society (approx. 60 members), singing Masses, Requiems, Madrigals.etc. for the public, and a smaller private choir of about 16 people, singing songs from the shows for clubs and old folks' Homes. Spent over 25 years with the Bristol Gilbert & Sullivan Society putting on one show a year for the public.

  • Computers.
There was a time when I also used to enjoy drawing and painting, archery, fencing, Scottish Country Dancing, swimming, ice and roller skating, tennis, woodwork, hand and machine knitting, crochet, piano, guitar, drama, languages, bellringing, sailing, canoeing, pony trekking and Keep Fit. I'd have done abseiling too, if it had been invented! But way back in the sixties I took a course on an NCB computer the size of a small shed with flashing red lights and valves. My first modest programme took half an hour to run - but I was hooked! We bought our first computer in the early eighties - a Do-It-Yourself kit.

  • Canal Boating.
We have our narrow boat, "Hailey Wood", on the Kennet and Avon Canal - see Dave's page for photographs.
