More cheerfully, the supermarkets down the GU are great, except for the one at Wolverton, reaching which from the canal involves a high steel stairway to be negotiated with your shopping/trolleys etc., (not the fault of the Supermarket). Others are much better, being sited alongside the canal and make boaters welcome. The Leighton Buzzard Tesco is an example. We were able to stop overnight by the Tesco's at Bulls' Bridge, and alongside the Sainsbury's , opposite Kensal Cemetery, just past at Old Oak Common.
Sainsbury's, Kensal Town. After many dire warnings of the dangers of vandalism etc., on the Regent's Canal/Paddington Arm, we found nothing of the sort, and this part of the journey was very enjoyable.
Blow-up Bridge.
The journey through Regent's Park, the Zoo, and Little Venice, where the wind made waiting for the water tap more than a little difficult,
HW having to do a 360 degree turn to get back to the end of the queue, having been right blown past it!
The Floating Chinese Restaurant at Cumberland Basin.
No traffic jams in the tunnels!
There was a slight pause at the first of the Hampstead Road Locks, whilst a trip boat was worked through.
Camden Town.
